Backsplash Options :

Wow where do we start! There are 3 different types of splash:

Loose Splash

Typically about 3-4” high, loose splash is applied with water proof silicone. It doesn't have to be the same color of your top. You could get a little crazy and ask for a different color to achieve a look. Why not add a few inlays?

Cove backsplash

Give your countertop that classic custom look. Scribed to the wall, it adapts to the imperfections in your walls creating a monolithic effect your friends will envy your kitchen for. Maximum ease of cleaning and value for the price.

Full height Splash

This usually goes up to the height of the cabinets. Patterns, inlays, directional lines can all be added to simulate the grout lines in a ceramic tile backsplash.
Talk about hygienic!

If you are looking for a way to create an eye catching, one of a kind design that adds value to the kitchen; backsplashes are a sure fire way to go!  Backsplashes are easier to clean than painted or papered walls, and they also improve the kitchen’s visual appeal.

Read on for some of Front Range's helpful tips:

Color
The colors used in the backsplash should always complement both the countertops and the cabinets.  Murals and mosaics will look the best when they are paired with countertops that have a similar uniform color and pattern.  Also keep in mind that patterned tiles and contrasting colors can be used in the backsplash to create a more vivid effect.  While light tones and shiny surfaces can be used to create more light in the kitchen.

Texture
Be sure to keep the texture of the backsplash consistent with the theme of the kitchen.  For instance, if the theme of the kitchen is contemporary you will want to use smooth and sleek textures, while you would use rough or uneven textures for an old world theme.  You will also want to avoid kitchen texture overload.  Meaning, if the countertop you have selected has a lot of movement or veins you will want to avoid a busy backsplash with too many textures or intense colors.

Harmony
Above all remember harmony is key.  Backsplashes are meant to complement and add to the aesthetic value of the kitchen.  It should not compete with the countertops or cabinets.  For instance, an intricate backsplash placed between dramatic countertops and lavish cabinets would confuse the eye.
